There are so many things to think about when you start planning for your future it helps to have the correct team in place. Kisha is a part of that team. She will go with you tour multiple facilities. It’s especially difficult when you are having to assist parents in this process. It’s great to have someone who has spent years touring multiple facilities. A clear perspective is vital to see red flags and positives. One of the things I’ve learned is there are some great retirement communities. There are some with events every single day of the year. They celebrate everyday. I know leaving home can be difficult but so can being alone. Imagine a community that keeps you active with exercise, bridge club, Mardi Grau’s, Pie Cooking contest, dances and tiki bars. We have those in Topeka. Most think they cannot afford them but when you take home maintenance, utility bills, groceries, home owners insurance and multiple other expenses you’d be surprised by the cost alignment.
